Lena Landaverde is a PhD candidate specializing in sample preparation, engineering microfluidic/paperfluidic devices, and rapid prototyping. Her research focuses on developing leiomyoma (uterine fibroid) organoids to study hormonal mechanisms in early pregnancy and perimenopause. She has a MS in Materials Science Engineering and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University.
