12th Annual Translational Science Symposium – Abstract Submissions

The deadline for Abstracts for the Symposium is 5:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025.
We encourage a focus on Translational Science, however Abstracts for all areas/forms of research will be considered for acceptance for the recorded video poster & live presentation event.

Please include the following in your uploaded abstract file:

- Abstract Title
- Abstract Primary Author
- Abstract Co-Author(s) or N/A
- Affiliation
The abstract text body is limited to 300 words
The abstract must include the following criteria:
- a) Introduction: Background, Objectives of the research, & Hypothesis
- b) Methods: Provide a brief description of the experimental procedures & methods of data analysis
- c) Results: Present your findings clearly and concisely
- d) Conclusions: Discuss impacts of the findings and their future implications

Abstracts will be reviewed by BU CTSI leadership based on the criteria above.
Notifications of acceptance for recorded video poster & live presentations will be sent by Thursday, February 13, 2025.
If accepted, participants are expected to: 1. Record a video poster presentation due on March 5, 2025 (video recordings will be posted on the BU CTSI website and reviewed by judges), 2. Present at the in-person Poster Session on March 19, 2025 at the Duan Family Center for Computing and Data Sciences, 665 Commonwealth Ave, 17th Floor, Boston, MA (Participants will need to print their poster on 2 x 3 foot poster board)
The winners will be announced on March 19, 2025 at the in-person Poster Session

Awards will be presented to exceptional posters with a trainee as the first author: First Prize: $1,000; Second Prize: $500; Third Prize: $250
