NEJM Perspective Piece – Combating Structural Inequities

A perspective piece in the New England Journal of Medicine calls for the clinical and translational research enterprise to put diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) at the heart of its work.

The piece was a cross-consortium effort led by L. Ebony Boulware, M.D., a CTSA Program steering committee member and the director of the Duke Clinical & Translational Science Institute. Emerging from data collected during the 2020 Fall Virtual CTSA Program Meeting, the article puts forth four goals to achieve DEI in clinical and translational research.

January 26 – CTSA Visiting Scholar Program – Amanda Eudy, Ph.D.

January 27 – Facilitating Clinical Research Through an Academic – Community Hospital Partnership: The Johns Hopkins Clinical Research Network (JHCRN)

January 27 – CTSA Visiting Scholar Program – Brooke R. Druliner, Ph.D.

February 10 – CLIC Spring 2022 Un-Meeting – Climate Change and Human Health (C2H2)

February 28 – Rare Disease Day at NIH 2022
