CISE Welcomes Lei Tian as New Faculty Affiliate

Lei Tian is Assistant Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University. He is named inventor on three U.S. patent applications and has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers. He has been awarded the 2014 Imaging Systems and Applications Best Paper Award and the 2011 Emil Wolf Outstanding Student Paper Award from the Optical Society of America. He is currently a member of the Optical Society of America (OSA) and the SPIE. He also serves as the Topical Editor of Applied Optics. Prior to joining BU, he was a postdoctoral scholar in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at University of California, Berkeley from 2013 to 2016. He has received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2008 and a M.S. and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010 and 2013.
