Eshed Ohn-Bar
Assistant Professor, ENG (ECE)
Eshed Ohn-Bar is Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Junior Faculty Fellow of the Rafik B. Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science & Engineering at Boston University. He leads the Human-to-Everything (H2X) Lab where the research spans multiple areas of real-world system design, from machine learning and perception to decision-making and human-machine interaction.
His research interest lies in machine intelligence for real-world, embodied, assistive and autonomous systems. Specifically, he has developed and evaluated learning, perception, planning, and control systems for safety-critical applications in navigation and transportation–including autonomous driving and assisted navigation to people with visual impairments.
Professor Ohn-Bar is the recipient of the Boston University College of Engineering’s Peter J. Levine Career Development Award. He received a BS in mathematics from UCLA in 2010, MEd from UCLA in 2011, and PhD in electrical engineering from UCSD in 2017.
