CISE Alumni Salomón Wollenstein- Betech featured in Bostonia article

Center for Information & Systems Engineering alumni Salomón Wollenstein-Betech (SE) was featured in Bostonia article highlighting potential measures for reducing traffic in Boston. Advised by CISE Faculty Affiliate Christos Cassandras (ECE, SE), Wollenstein-Betech studied transportation infrastructure and traffic patterns. In Bostonia, he engaged in a Q&A regarding congestion pricing, commuting, and public transportation.

Wollenstein-Betech discussed New York City’s new policy implementing congestion pricing and how this initiative could also work in Boston. “I think there would be a little hesitation,” says Wollenstein-Betech, now a postdoc at Stanford University. Boston’s public transportation system isn’t as extensive as New York’s. “Still, I think Boston is one of the best cities to be next in line for this trend.”
