BU PhD Student, Efe Şencan, Named 2026 MLCommons Rising Star
ECE PhD student, Efe Şencan, has been selected for the 2026 MLCommons Rising Stars program, a highly selective initiative supporting early-career researchers in machine learning and systems engineering. This year, the program selected just 39 participants from over 170 applicants.
Working with Director of CISE and Professor of ENG (ECE, SE), Ayşe Coskun, Şencan focuses on building ML methods to detect performance anomalies and bottlenecks in high-performance computing (HPC) systems, aiming to improve their reliability and efficiency. The program connects him with a global community of peers and leaders, along with career development opportunities and an in-person workshop to present his work.
