Rebecca Lyn Cooper

Senior Consultant, CI

Rebecca is a Senior Consultant with CIDA, bringing over eight years of experience leading cross-functional operational and technology initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. She is passionate about using process improvement, technology, and thoughtful system design to help organizations improve efficiency, enhance services, and achieve mission-driven goals.  

Prior to joining CIDA, Rebecca worked for the City of Somerville, where she held leadership roles in planning and community development, and served as the city’s first Digital Innovation Officer, leading initiatives to enhance the city’s digital infrastructure and to improve transparency, accessibility, and efficiency of services for residents and businesses. Her experience in local government has given her a unique perspective on navigating complex organizations, engaging diverse stakeholders, and translating strategic goals into practical solutions.  

Outside of work, Rebecca is obsessed with befriending the crows who live in her neighborhood and enjoys reading science fiction, gardening, refinishing old furniture, and disappearing down rabbit holes involving vintage and traditional crafts. Her most recent project has been learning to recreate Edo-period Japanese women’s court dress.
