CIDA Welcomes Our New Team Members!
CIDA is delighted to announce two exciting additions to our internal consulting team: Jacob Blumenthal and Allison Reilly (they/them). As our team continues to grow and evolve, welcoming talented professionals like Jacob and Allison strengthens our capacity to support our University in fresh and meaningful ways. Please join us in welcoming them both!

Jacob Blumenthal joins us as a Senior Consultant with a wealth of expertise in educational data analysis and institutional improvement. As a Senior Consultant at CIDA, he works on cross-functional projects that support process improvement and strategic analytics to drive informed decision-making across Boston University. Before joining CIDA, Jake was an education-focused consultant at EY-Parthenon, partnering with public and private sector clients to tackle complex challenges. Prior to consulting, he held roles in development operations at Boston College and Harvard University, where he supported advancement teams by designing and improving business processes and reporting.
Allison Reilly (they/them) joins the team as a Senior Consultant with a data analytics specialty. Allison has been working in higher education for over 10 years, 7 of which were in institutional research focusing on developing engaging and effective ways to share university data with key stakeholders. They are passionate about using data in ways that promote action and structural change. They also enjoy developing, implementing, and facilitating workshops and trainings using design thinking methodology to help teams solve complex problems. Allison has also worked in a variety of industries throughout their career, including international exchange programs, arts education, graphic design, and institutional research. At BU prior to CIDA, Allison worked as Assistant Director of the LGBTQIA+ Center for Faculty & Staff.
Jacob and Allison share our vision for collaboration and continuous improvement. Their enthusiasm for innovation and problem-solving aligns perfectly with our team’s mission to empower the University’s community in strengthening our strategic missions.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome—and, if you see them around, be sure to say hello. We’re excited for the opportunity to work together and see the impact Jacob and Allison will have on advancing our mission. Welcome to the team!
