Summer Undergraduate Research Internship in Developmental Science at Boston University

The internship is a unique opportunity for students to gain research experience in our exciting, state-of-the-art developmental labs while enjoying a fun-filled summer in Boston. Summer interns will get hands-on research experience in areas of developmental science, with special emphasis on social and emotional development, cross-cultural research, parenting, and early childhood psychopathology. Interns will learn all stages of the research process, including developing ideas, creating stimuli, scheduling and running participants, coding and analyzing data, and presenting research findings.

When?

The internship runs for 10 weeks over the course of the summer. The exact dates are flexible, and we work with students’ summer schedule. However, the minimum commitment is 20 hours a week.

Who can apply?

The internship is open to all undergraduate students and recent graduates. It is particularly suited for students considering graduate school in clinical, social, developmental, or cognitive psychology. This is a volunteer position, and we encourage students to apply for funding from their home university or other funding sources for which they might be eligible.

If you are interested, please send your CV and a cover letter to Professor Stacey Doan at sdoan@bu.edu.
