Boston University School of Music: Opera Institute and School of Theatre present La clemenza di Tito in BU's Tsai Performance Center, with music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and libretto by Caterino MazzolaĚ€ after Pietro Metastasio. Conductor: William Lumpkin, Stage Director: Eve SummerPerformances:• April 18, Thursday at 7:30• April 19, Friday at 7:30• April 20, Saturday at 2:00• April 21, Sunday at 2:00• Mozart’s penultimate opera, La clemenza di Tito is driven by paranoia and manipulation which culminates in a conflicted ruler’s struggle to discover the greater power of mercy over revenge. A co-production between the College of Fine Arts School of Music: Opera Institute and School of Theatre. Sung in Italian with English supertitles; performed with orchestra.
