Robert S. Bennett, a trial lawyer who has tried many high-profile cases and is best known for his representation of former President Bill Clinton during the 1999 impeachment hearings, delivered the Max M. Bennett, who is a partner in civil and criminal enforcement matters for Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, has served as special counsel to the U.S. Senate's Select Committee on Ethics in several major investigations and was a legal consultant in the early 1980s to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee when it was considering the appointment of Alexander Haig, Jr., as secretary of state.
