Getting Rhetty for the real world: Long before BU's Boston terrier mascot became the fiercely lovable and genderless Rhett, student artists sometimes took pen in hand and drew their own vision of the Terrier. This illustration, taken from the 1950 Hub, is one of many in the yearbook that depict the Terrier as more collegiate than canine. And as this drawing shows, attendance at BU has extended Terrier training well beyond obedience school.
