An a-door-ing look at BU

When Kalman Zabarsky, a photographer at BU Photo Services, was asked by the B.U. Bridge to "go out and take a lot of photos of doors on campus," he did more than just snap photos outside of buildings or classrooms. This sampling shows his unique perspective.

One half of the entranceway doors that used to hang on the front of 855 Comm. Ave. The doors are now bolted to each side of the entrance to the SFA building.

Self-portrait, taken from the inside of a dryer in the laundry room of the new student residence on Buick St.

Dryer doors at the new student residence on Buick Street.

Oven door ajar in the Food Laboratory at the School of Hospitality Administration.

Electric service door at the back of the Photonics building, 22 Babbitt St.

A door, of Italian origin, which was once part of the house now known as The Castle. The door was excluded from BU's purchase of The Castle and sold separately by the owner, but was later donated to BU.

"Be an opener of doors."
