New multimedia lab: Chuck Clemente (COM'62) talks with graduate student Erika Dykstra (COM'00) after the dedication of the College of Communication's multimedia lab November 23. Clemente, a pioneering media entrepreneur, donated $150,000 to upgrade the facility and $50,000 for scholarships. Each semester, more than 300 students take courses in the lab, which is now furnished with 22 new flat-screen Apple Macintosh G3 computers. "Today, all business is technology business -- communication is no exception," says COM Dean Brent Baker. "In this lab, students create digital video and Webcasts and build CD-ROMs." Photo by Vernon Doucette
