College of Fine Arts students performed Mozart's The Magic Flute at the Boston University Theatre in February 2008 in a production whose imagery was as enthralling as its music and story. Sets ranged from dark forests with looming, surrealistic trees to golden temples with arches and columns that pushed the literal boundaries of the stage. And the lighting enhanced the visual wonder, creating a dreamscape for Tamino and the Three Ladies, (from left) Aneta Augustyn (CFA'09), Kara Harris (CFA'09), Daniel Gerdes (CFA'08), and Cassandra Santiago (CFA'08).
