Student Union president improves Web site, creates cabinet and committees
President of the Student Union Brooke Feldman (CAS’08, SED’08) makes her mark.

As president of the Student Union, Brooke Feldman (CAS’08, SED’08), along with the rest of the Student Union executive board, has already made her mark. In just a few months, she and her colleagues have given the organization’s Web site a user-friendly makeover, created a cabinet, and even developed seven student-led committees that address subjects of importance to students, such as housing and school spirit.
Feldman, a member of the sorority Sigma Delta Tau and two national honor societies, says that her role as president of the Student Union gives her the opportunity to create many positive, lasting changes at BU. “As president, I collaborate with students, staff, administrators, and faculty to enhance the quality of life, academics, and experiences at Boston University,” she says.
Among the issues Feldman wants to address during her presidency are new venues for convenience point use, grade deflation, technology in the classroom, recycling facilities on campus, and transportation and alternatives.
Feldman plans to attend graduate school for educational policy, but for now she is content with her responsibilities as a BU leader. “This year is a nonstop whirlwind of excitement,” she says, “and I love every minute of it.”
