Hirshom awarded for 40 years of service
SDM's William Hirshom was honored recently for a 40 years of achievements in the field of oral surgery.

Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery William Hirshom recently received an award for 40 years of service at Boston Medical Center. Hirshom was the first to accept the Philip L. Maloney Outstanding Educator Award, which recognizes life-long achievements in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Hirshom has taught students and residents since he joined the Boston City Hospital staff in 1960. He received the award from the BCH/BMC Alumni Association in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at a ceremony in his honor this past fall.
