Shute Named America East Field Hockey Player of the Week

After recording a hat trick in BU’s season opener against Michigan State, sophomore Sarah Shute (Lincolnville, Maine) was named the America East Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Shute accounted for all of the Terriers’ scoring in a tight 4-3 overtime loss to the Spartans, who were an NCAA semifinalist a year ago. In BU’s 2-1 win over cross-town rival BC on Sept. 2, Shute continued to be an offensive threat, recording a team-high three shots.
As a freshman in 2004, Shute was named America East Rookie of the Week three times and she went on to tally 13 points on five goals and three assists.
