Megan Black (Harvard) to give talk on “Equivocal Imperialism in the New Deal”
We are pleased to announce that Megan Black (Harvard) will be our guest presenter during the next APHI seminar on Wednesday, November 18 at Noon in the History Department (226 Bay State Rd), room 504. The subject of the talk will be “A Far-Flung Interior: American Territories, Strategic Minerals, and Equivocal Imperialism in the New Deal.”
Black is a Fellow at Harvard’s Charles Warren Center, where she is currently Lecturer of History. The paper she will present is a chapter in her current book project, The Global Interior: America’s Quest for Mineral Frontiers in the Modern World Order.
