• GRS CH 677: An Introduction to Evidence-Based Undergraduate STEM Teaching
  Online course with in-person faculty-led sessions. Participants learn about effective teaching strategies and the research that supports them, and apply approaches to lesson design and assignments for future teaching opportunities.
• GRS CH 721: Special Topics in Biochemistry
  Detailed analysis of special topics of research in biochemistry. Topics are determined by the instructor depending on interest and expertise.
• GRS CH 724: Special Topics in Biochemistry
  Detailed analysis of special topics of research in biochemistry. Topics are determined by the instructor depending on interest and expertise. Subjects covered include protein analysis, mechanistic enzymology, nucleic acid research, protein/nucleic acid interactions, and spectroscopic methods. Topic for Fall 2020: Macromolecular Structure Determination.

• GRS CH 731: Special Topics in Inorganic Chemistry
  Selected topics of current research interest in inorganic and bioinorganic chemistry.
• GRS CH 744: Current Topics in Organic Chemistry
  Current topics in advanced organic chemistry. The course content varies with instructor.
• GRS CH 751: Advanced Topics in Physical Chemistry
  Current topics of research in physical chemistry. The course content varies with instructor.
• GRS CH 752: Advanced Topics in Chemical Physics
  Current topics of research in chemical physics. Course content varies with the instructor.
• GRS CH 801: Graduate Research Methods and Scholarly Writing I
  Introduces beginning graduate students to the fundamental methods of research, presentation, and scholarship necessary for a successful career as a graduate student, a teacher, and an independent research scientist. Includes RCR (responsible conduct of research) training.
• GRS CH 802: Graduate Research Methods and Scholarly Writing II
  Continues subject material of GRS CH 801 with more emphasis on writing.

• GRS CL 651: Grad Latin Literature
  Intensive study of selected major authors. Topic for Fall 2023: Apuleius' Metamorphoses. Requires DGS approval. Topic for Spring 2024: Ovid's Metamorphoses.
• GRS CL 691: Grad Greek Literature
  Intensive study of selected major authors. Topic for Fall 2023: Goddesses in the Homeric Hymns. Requires DGS approval. Topic for Spring 2024: Thucydides.
• GRS CL 710: The Classical Tradition in Modern Literature
  This course explores the ways in which the theatre, myth, and literature of Ancient Greece and Rome have sparked ideas, debates, and conversations among contemporary authors and artists. Students analyze modern works of literature in different genres together with the classical works that inspired them. All Greek and Latin literature is read in translation.
• GRS CL 717: Greek and Roman Religion
  This course explores the religions of ancient Greece and Rome from their earliest beginnings to the emergence of Christianity. Within a broadly chronological outline, individual meetings concentrate on specifics: society and religion, worship, death, magic, religious violence, and conversion. Effective Fall 2018, this course fulfills a single unit in each of the following BU Hub areas: Historical Consciousness, Social Inquiry I, Critical Thinking.
• GRS CL 720: Latin Seminar
  Extensive readings in Roman authors. Specific topics may change. Topic for Spring 2024: Pastoral Poetry.
• GRS CL 724: Greek Drama
  Intensive study of selected Greek tragedies, comedies, and satyr plays.
