GRS LK 660: Korean Translation Workshop
Intensive training in translation to enhance knowledge of Korean language and literature. Thematic exploration of Korean literary, intellectual and political history through the lens of translation. Individual and group translations. Includes public reading and envisioned publication. -
GRS LK 675: Major Authors in Korean Literature
Closely examines major authors in Korean literature through their representative works in English translation. Students analyze each author's writing style, themes, and characters while exploring various theoretical questions, institutional practices, and cultural praxes regarding literary authors and authorship. Effective Fall 2021, this course fulfills a single unit in each of the following BU Hub areas: Writing-Intensive Course, Aesthetic Exploration. -
GRS LK 680: Readings in Korean Literature
This course is designed to introduce advanced Korean language learners to some of the critically acclaimed contemporary South Korean short stories in the original language while helping them improve their skills of reading, writing, and speaking. -
