SED TL 611: Student-Teaching Practicum: TESOL, 5-12
Full-time student-teaching in selected high schools. Six weeks; Minimum 150 hours required. -
SED TL 612: Student Teaching Practicum and Seminar for Domestic Students
Supervised student teaching in a college or adult education program in English as a second language. Graduate Prereq: Open only to matriculated graduate students who have completed prerequisites. 6 cr. -
SED TL 614: Field Experience and Seminar for International Students
Field observation in a college or adult education program in English as a second language. Open only to matriculated international graduate students who have completed prerequisites. 4 cr. -
SED TL 635: Introduction to Language Program Management
Designed to introduce students to all aspects of language program management from academic areas of curriculum planning, student assessment, and program design to the management topics of finance, organizational behavior, and human resources. 4 cr. -
SED TL 700: Clinical Experience in Modern Foreign Languages
Required of students who wish to apply for standard certification as teachers of a modern foreign langauge. Integrates content area knowledge and pedagogical theory and practice. Involves responsibilities beyond the individual classroom that may include opportunities such as grade-level teamwork, curriculum development, and assessment projects. Minimum 400 hours required. Sections indicate grade levels of certification. (Pre-K-9, 5-12). -
