This course examines the current theories of and methodologies for the teaching and learning of modern foreign languages. Students explore foreign language standards, effective instructional methods, assessment tools, underlying theories, and examine current issues in the field. Students will develop lesson and unit plans, and participate in a field placement to observe and reflect upon foreign language teaching in practice. 4 cr.
