Topic for Fall 2017: Moving across Borders: Contemporary Mexican Literature and Film. Study of Mexican literature and film by exploring the concept of "borders" in geographical, psychic, and symbolic terms. Topics include but are not limited to: the US-Mexico border; the rural/urban divide, and the liminality between gender, class, and racial constructions. Taught in Spanish.
