Time Limit

College of Communication Graduate Student Policy

A student must return to the College of Communication within seven years to complete his or her MS/MFA/MA degree. After seven years, a student’s record will expire. Students exceeding this time limit without an approved petition for an extension of time will not be permitted to register.

PhD degrees must also be completed within seven years after the first registration for that degree. Petitions for extensions of time to complete degree requirements must be submitted prior to the end of the above limit.
