Chad William Kidd
Director, Seminary Singers; Lecturer
Ordained in the United Church of Christ, Reverend Chad William Kidd serves as the hospital chaplain at the North Shore Medical Center’s Union Hospital, in Lynn, Massachusetts. In addition to chaplaincy, Chad is also the minister of music at the First Congregational Church of Reading, UCC, in Reading, Massachusetts, a position he has held since 2001. Chad comes to the position of director of the Boston University School of Theology Seminary Singers after many years of involvement in its long and historic ministry at the School. Chad began as the assistant director of the Seminary Singers in 2001, while a student at the School of Theology, and for three years was interim director. As assistant director and member of the tenor section, Chad conceived of and helped bring to fruition a recording project for the Seminary Singers and participated on several tours and many special engagements with the University. As director he has a special interest in continuing the important legacy of bringing diverse sacred music from around the world to the worshipping community at STH and beyond. Chad also serves as the assistant worship coordinator for the School of Theology.
