Academic Status
College of Engineering Policy
The academic status of every student in the College of Engineering is reviewed at the end of each semester. Failure to make satisfactory progress can result in academic probation, suspension for a stated time or until stated conditions are met, academic withdrawal, or permanent suspension.
Full-time students maintain good academic standing when they: (1) earn at least 12 academic credits in the semester just completed; (2) earn a semester grade point average of at least 2.0; and (3) maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0. (Note: Academic credits do not include PDP credits. Grades for transfer credits are not counted in the grade point average.)
