Introduction to the major writers of twentieth-century Russian prose and to the literary traditions that they represent through a close reading of selected texts. Readings will include works by the following authors: Chekhov, Sologub, Belyj, Babel, Olesha, Bulgakov, and Solzhenitsyn.
