#1 Recommendation: Taipei is famous for its night markets, try and explore as many as you can! The Gongguan night market near the dorm and the Da’an night market near the classroom are both great. Shilin night market is a bit further away, but has even more to explore. Raohe features a gorgeous temple. Finally, Ximending has the most opportunities for shopping and chances to see street performances. for Geneva: take advantage of weekends to travel around and outside Switzerland, but make sure to plan way in advance! When spending time off in Geneva, take full advantage of the residence’s proximity to Lac Leman, a great spot for taking walks, people-watching, and renting a pedal boat when the weather is warm.
