Pro-Tip: Find a balance between the “bucket list” and the “everyday.” Some of the best parts of studying abroad aren’t always planned — leave room for spontaneity!
#1 Recommendation: I highly recommend spending time exploring London’s local cafes, shops, and museums since that is where you really get a feel for the city beyond the usual tourist attractions. It is also worth taking the time to travel outside of London since places like Brighton, Oxford, and Cambridge are just a short train ride away and offer a completely different perspective on the UK. If you plan to travel outside of the country, I recommend waiting until you receive your course syllabi so you can plan around assignments and make the most of your time abroad!
