Admissions Calendar

Applications open on the following timelines. Most programs are rolling admissions, and many programs and tracks may close before the application deadline. Check your program page to confirm program application deadlines as some do vary. Also be sure to check the Application Updates page for any programs that are no longer accepting applications or have a waitlist.

Rolling Admissions

For rolling admissions programs, applications will be reviewed once the application has been submitted and all application materials have been received. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all required materials have been received by the BU Study Abroad office. To ensure full consideration, students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as some programs have limited space and may fill up before the deadline. Once a program fills, a limited number of qualified students may be placed on a waitlist. Check the Application Updates page for program no longer accepting application or that have a waitlist. Students can expect an admissions decision within three weeks of a completed application.

Please check the specific program page to determine whether it is rolling admissions or an exception to rolling admissions. For programs that are exceptions to rolling admissions, decisions will be given after the application deadline.

Submitting a complete application prior to or by the application deadline does not guarantee acceptance.

Exceptions to Rolling Admissions

For programs that are not on the rolling admissions cycle, decisions will not be made until after the application deadline. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that all required materials have been received by the BU Study Abroad office, before the admission deadline.

Applicants will receive their decision via email.
