Boston University Study Abroad welcomes international exchange students from our partner universities around the world to study at BU for a term or academic year. Interested students must first be nominated by their home university before applying for exchange at BU.

If you are not a student at one of the institutions listed above and would like to attend Boston University for a term or a year as a visiting student, please contact BU Admissions.
If you are a student at one of the institutions listed above and would like to study at BU, you must first consult with the international office at your home institution. Once you have been nominated by your home institution you can apply for exchange at BU. Only students who have already been nominated by their home university will be considered for exchange.
Exchange Student Application Process and Information
If you are an exchange student who has been approved and nominated by your home institution, you will be invited to complete the Boston University Exchange Student Application.
