Summary Walden Warming: Climate Change Comes to Thoreau's Woods
Description Richard Primack, Professor of Biology at BU's College of Arts & Sciences, will present "Walden Warming: Climate change comes to Thoreau's woods," based on his recently published study and upcoming book about Walden Pond. Primack will describe how he and his graduate students used Henry David Thoreau's meticulous notes about wildflowers at Walden Pond to observe changes that have occurred over the past 160 years, and to examine the ecological consequences of those changes. This event, co-sponsored by the BUAA and The Fenn School, will be held in the Meeting and Performance Hall at The Fenn School.
