The Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology and the Elie Wiesel Center for Judaic Studies are happy to present a one-day event to examine and celebrate the central role that Jewish writers and composers had in shaping American popular music throughout its history.
Featured speakers will be Ben Sidran, jazz and rock pianist, singer, and author of There was a Fire: Jews, Music and the American Dream, and Seth Rogovoy, journalist, editor, blogger, cultural critic, and author of Bob Dylan: Prophet, Mystic, Poet.
