Taking a Look at Severe Mental Illness and Policy

Join the Cape Cod Blended Program and the Behavioral Health Specialization for a Free Workshop

This 90-minute workshop will examine the current experiences of people living with severe and persistent mental illness and our role as providers to advocate for necessary changes in the system, including policy change, with the help of evidenced-based research. While there are policies in place to support and protect people with severe and persistent mental illness, more can be done. We will explore the currently proposed S.610/H.989: An Act for Supportive Care for Serious Mental Illness which was designed to place more responsibility on insurance companies to cover sustaining services, as well as other ways in which we can individually and collectively influence the lives, programs, and systems around us.

You will also learn more about the Cape Cod Blended MSW Program and the BUSSW Specialization in Behavioral Health.
