CISE Best Student Paper Award
The Center for Information & Systems Engineering established the CISE Best Student Paper Award competition to promote student research and recognize the scientific quality of research being conducted by CISE students. The opportunity is open to all students currently enrolled at Boston University and advised by a CISE faculty affiliate.
The deadline for submissions was on Monday, February 19th.
Application Process:
Upload a full-length paper in pdf format below. Please discuss your submission with your advisor prior to uploading your paper.
Paper submissions will be evaluated through a blind review process conducted by a faculty review committee. The award winner and finalists will be selected based on the ratings and comments received from paper reviewers. The winner and finalists will be recognized at the 2024 CISE Best Student Paper Awards event on Friday, April 5th.
Eligibility Criteria
The paper must represent original research conducted at Boston University primarily by the student.
While other authors may be listed on the paper, the student must be the lead student author (i.e., contributed the majority of the effort among all student co-authors) and must have contributed significantly to the paper (advisors will be asked to certify the student’s role and contribution).
The paper must have been published or accepted for publication at a journal or conference within the past 24 months from submission to this CFP.
Papers posted solely on archive sites (e.g., arXiv, bioarXiv) and not published at peer reviewed venues are not acceptable for submission.
A full-length paper must be officially submitted via the web in pdf format.
Papers must include three key words.
Each student can only enter one paper in this competition.
If the student’s paper is selected as winner or finalists, the student must present the paper at the CISE Best Paper Presentation event on Friday, April 5th.
