Applying for External Programs

Admissions criteria, which are set by the institutions abroad or the sponsors of the study abroad programs, may vary.  Please check with the provider concerning the admissions criteria for the program in which you are interested.You will apply directly to the institution or program, sending the applications yourself.

Many applications require the signature of a Boston University administrator and may request the signature of a “dean” or “director” of study abroad or your advisor.

This document should be signed by David Lamitie, Assistant Director of External Programs at BU Study Abroad. You should submit the completed approval form to this office along with an unofficial copy of your BU transcript issued by the Registrar (not from the Student Link). Your materials will be reviewed and returned directly to the program provider. We will contact you if we have any questions or concerns.
