How Social Movements Feel/ BU Sedgwick Lecture in Gender & Sexuality Studies
Dean Spade is an associate professor at Seattle University School of Law, where he teaches Administrative Law, and Law and Social Movements. He is also founder of the legal collective Sylvia Rivera Law Project and author of the book Normal Life: Administrative Violence, Critical Trans Politics, and the Limits of Law (Duke 2011). His writing and organizing spans issues from prison and police abolition to queer resistance and global anti-militarism. Dean Spade will be delivering Boston University’s Sedgwick Lecture in Gender & Sexuality Studies on March 29 at 5:30pm in PHO 206: “How Social Movements Feel”.
