Much of the day-to-day work of the Congress was originally handled by Professor Olson and Mr. Bud Heckman, a doctoral student at Boston University. However, as the time of the Congress drew closer, the staff expanded to three full-time employees: Dr. Kevin L. Stoehr, Program Coordinator, Dr. Mark D. Gedney, Assistant Program Coordinator, and Miss Georgia Maheras, Chief Financial Officer, as well as several part-time employees. During the week of the Congress, a well-trained group of over 60 volunteers worked in the registration area, the exhibit hall, and monitored the rooms in which the sessions were held. Here, Kevin Stoehr (center, with walkie-talkie) leads a volunteer orientation the afternoon before the Congress opened. |
