Winner: Boston Harbor Islands
When escaping studies and textbooks, BU students want to get whisked away to the islands. With more than 150,000 visitors a year, the Boston Harbor Islands are a widely popular spot to get away from it all. Walk wooded trails leading to scenic vistas, picnic, check out centuries-old foundations and forts, or hit the beaches. Consisting of 34 islands ranging from less than one acre to over 250 acres, they are reachable by frequent ferry and water taxi service.
