The new Digital Signage service has been added to TechWeb:

For any incidents or requests that we receive regarding Digital Signage, please send the ticket as an external e-mail to Deb Melo dmelo@bu.edu.

Other key terms used to describe Digital Signage are Visix or Axis TV.

New fax number for account issues

There is a new fax number for account related issues located at 533 Comm. (in Linda’s office).

The new number is 617-353-6833. We should no longer ask anyone to fax anything to the IS&T front office fax number.

Helping an incoming student or parent? Looking for the video?

We have been compiling information that parents and incoming students will find helpful, based on the questions they tend to ask us. It's on a TechWeb page that we feature during the Parent Orientation each Thursday.

As August approaches, you might find this page increasingly useful, and we will begin to feature it as a TechWeb news item in a few more weeks.

CourseInfo Retirement

After a decade of serving the BU community, CourseInfo (Blackboard 4) will be retired on June 30, 2010. Any course can be copied to Blackboard 8 before or after the decommission of CourseInfo at http://www.bu.edu/help/blackboard.

Blackboard 8 is a much newer and more powerful courseware product that has been very well received by faculty on both the Charles River Campus and Medical Campus.

The process is being handled by George Gaudette of Applications with support from Mike J., Brian, Basil, and Austin. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know.
