Friday 3/25 6pm-7pm – maintenance affecting BUworks Blackboard training
Tonight, Friday 3/25, from 6pm-7pm, systems used within Blackboard 8 for BUworks training will be undergoing maintenance. While it’s unlikely that anyone will be participating in training at this time, please be aware of this time frame if clients contact us about it. This maintenance only affects those using Blackboard for BUworks training.
Wireless 802.1x IP Address space exhaustion

As an FYI, we have been monitoring the DCHP pools on the IP Address subnets that are available to wireless clients connecting via the 802.1x SSID.
We have recently seen that the pool of available addresses has come close to being exhausted. The rate at which this is happening is somewhat faster than anticipated.
We are planning on adding additional IP Address space to the pool of available addresses for 802.1x wireless clients.
However, this is additional space is not going to be configured until the maintenance window on Tuesday, 3/8/11.

Actions to be taken: Adobe Connect will perform system maintenance

Due to planned network maintenance, MyPrint will be unavailable on Tuesday, 2/1, from 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM.
NSTAR Power Maintenance
Wired and Wireless Network Outages Possible
NSTAR has scheduled high-priority service-impacting electrical work affecting a number of University properties in the West Campus area. IS&T infrastructure within the affected locations will be unavailable while the power is down. For questions or comments, please contact the Change Manager.

CourseInfo Retirement
After a decade of serving the BU community, CourseInfo (Blackboard 4) will be retired on June 30, 2010. Any course can be copied to Blackboard 8 before or after the decommission of CourseInfo at http://www.bu.edu/help/blackboard.
Blackboard 8 is a much newer and more powerful courseware product that has been very well received by faculty on both the Charles River Campus and Medical Campus.
The process is being handled by George Gaudette of Applications with support from Mike J., Brian, Basil, and Austin. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know.
