Why did you choose to be a Program Manager for your program?

I was a Days of Service (DoS) Chair and I enjoyed getting to know more people on campus as well as the organizations and events I volunteered at. One thing that really stood out to me was that each event gave me the opportunity to better understand the different needs within the local community and how organizations work to address them.

Why should people get involved in our community service programs? / What is something about your program that people can look forward to?

One of the best parts of Days of Service is that every event offers a chance to make a tangible difference while meeting new people. Our program partners with organizations across Boston, so volunteers can support a wide variety of causes from food security and environmental sustainability to education and community health. It’s a great way to build community at BU while strengthening your connection to the city of Boston.
My personal favorite service events were the gardening events!
