Myra Aronson

I never knew Myra, though I began my COM graduate work in 1981. Perhaps we shared a class before she graduated. I finally got my M.S. in 1992. I am shocked and saddened by the number of BU alumni killed on September 11. May you have peace. Of course, I am shocked and saddened by the many thousands who lost their lives that day. May they all have peace. May America achieve justice without adding to the slaughter of innocent civilians such as the good people pictured on this site. David

As a COM alumna I just wanted to express my sadness that a beautiful life has been taken from all of us in this horrendous act. To Myra's friends and family, I wish you peace and strength. God bless us all and God bless America.

You touched the lives of so many people - the Emerson College students where you once taught as a adjunct professor, colleagues, friends, family and others. Ronn and I will miss you most during the holidays, especially on Passover. Your wit, creativity, laughter, warmth, generosity, erudite knowledge and smile are the things we remember the most. Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family and all who were blessed to have known you.

Sorry to hear Myra Aronson has left this world in such a tragic way. I am pleased to have known and worked with Myra at Mass Save in the late 1980's. Now, 12 years later I recall some of my memories. My initial impression of her as a PR professional was that she did not have time for me because I did not understand her profession. I also remember she required short cut keys on her word processing software. When I brought ten Macintosh computers, as the first PCs into our company, she had me install software that did not require her to use the mouse. Of course there was a short cut key or two that the software did not replicate to her liking. All in all we continued to interact and grew to respect each other. I, as the information systems manager, went as far as to ask her questions about her PR & Marketing profession. She replied by sharing and explaining information. She then went as far as to invite me to sit in on one of the Emerson College PR classes she taught in the evenings. I went to her class once or twice, I learned a thing or two, and I grew to admire Myra as a very caring human being. She reached out to those students as she reached out to myself and I thank her very much for that. For it is when we treat each other with respect that we give each other the gift of understanding of our own self worth. I believe God has put us on the earth to interact and share with each other. It is through these interactions, no matter how imperfect they are, that we learn to care and love. Myra, thanks for being the mature responsible caring individual you are in my memories. My prayers are with you and all those you have touched.

Myra was my sister-in-law for almost 38 years and my dear friend and aunt to our children. She was a kind and compassion friend, an energetic companion, a loving sister. She was NOT 52--as many of us gathered to celebrate her 50th birthday last December.

I worked with Myra a number of years ago in Lexington, MA. In fact, we used to travel together quite a bit. She was a wonderful person who was never afraid to speak her mind. She was helpful in every way possible, personally, professional and emotionally. We had many good times together while traveling and many late nights getting ready for early morning conferences. She will be missed by many but never forgotten. My prayers go out to her family, may God grant you peace and may you shine in the knowledge that you now have a guardian angel with a name.

Myra was a PR professor of mine at Emerson College two years ago and I will never forget her or the influence she had on my life and career decision. She was such a strong, sweet, outspoken, caring, and smart woman who I can not believe is gone. She made my adjustment to Boston from Santa Barbara so easy, as we would often talk about L.A. and Boston, and possibilities for me when I graduated. Although she demanded perfection for her students and herself, she never forgot that we are all human and make mistakes. She would never hesitate to stay after class and talk with me or other students about industry questions or life in general. Professors and people like her really make a difference encourage young people to strive to be the best that they can be while they still take time to live life and just be. I know that Myra would be proud of me if she knew of my first job as a PR Assistant. I am just glad that I was able to know her and learn from her. She will live on in memories, and each and every daythat I wake up for work in the industry that she worked in, I think of her and what she would do.

Myra was a yoga student of mine. She came regularly to the yoga studio where I taught in Somerville - and I believe she also did yoga downtown. She was very much dedicated to her practice and would come in to class very wound up and a little tense, and I liked to watch her as she literally unwound throughtout the 90mins she was there. She was very determined and always had a smile for me. We often talked about her various aches and pains after class. I moved away from Boston last summer and found out that Myra was on Flight 11 maybe one or two weeks later. I was shocked - she was the only person I really knew who was on one of the planes. I have been trying to find a place where I could offer my condolences to her family and today finally found this site. Myra was a strong and very alive woman - please accept my condolences.

Hello, I just stumbled across this and was happy to find that some folks are paying tribute to Myra. I did not know her well, but, as a recruiter, met her when she came to interview about a job we were working on. We see a lot of people...some stand out and some do not. Myra stood out immediately for three things: her intelligence, her energy, and her wit. I send my thoughts and prayers to all those who knew and loved her.

Myra was my PR professor at Emerson College in 2000. I enjoyed every second I spent in her classroom. She will be missed.

I was a coworker of Myra's at Compuware and although I did not know her well, she was much loved and respected throughout the company. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends on this 7th anniversary, and every day that you must live with just your precious memories.
