College students were randomly assigned to play Wolffenstein or Myst.
Competitive reaction time task: told they could blast the other student with noise if they won. Results:
Blasted their opponents longer and louder following trials when they had lost and their opponent had just blasted them.
Blasted longer and louder if played Wolfenstein rather than Myst. Female students blasted longer.
