BU's BEST: Introduction to Science Policy and Biomedical Careers in Science Policy Panel Discussion

Organized by BU's BEST (Boston University’s Broadening Experience in Scientific Training) What is science policy? How does the federal government impact scientific discovery and why should the scientific community care about what happens in Washington, DC? Trainees will learn about the federal government’s role in science, with a particular focus on funding, regulations, and current topics of debate. The session will also discuss science policy careers and it will conclude with a panel featuring scientists with public policy experience.
