Brand: Property was given in frankmarriage to a husband with his wife. They had two daughters. After the death of her husband the woman remarried and had a son by her second husband. When she died her husband retained the land, claiming to hold it by curtesy. The two daughters by the first husband brought Mortdancestor on the seisin of their mother at the time of her death. The second husband claimed he was entitled to curtesy and sought the aid of his son as reversioner. The daughters did not deny that he was entitled to curtesy but seem to have argued that by seeking the aid of his son as reversioner he should forfeit his interest in the land for acting to the disinheritance of the true reversioners. No judgment is recorded on this claim.
