Process and Pleading
Defendant was arrested in London at the suit of a party.
Defendant was removed to King's Bench because there he had a suit against him, which continued to Distraint.
A Serjeant of London had the body of defendant prisoner at bar.
Plaintiff affirmed a bill of Debt against defendant, and prayed that defendant be put to answer.
The Justices left defendant in the Bench (Common Pleas?) until now to be returned if he answered the bill.
Plaintiff demanded of defendant surety of the peace.
Cheyne CJKB told the Marshal to take defendant into custody, and then at once he was put to answer to the bill.
