Elizabeth Manser
Elizabeth is a middle school science teacher at Rumney Marsh Academy in Revere, MA. She had always enjoyed working with kids, evident in her volunteering experience and summer camp shifts. For Elizabeth, becoming a science teacher “just made sense”. She loves how teaching science allows her to create engaging lessons. The RET program has allowed her to practice the skills she hopes to pass onto her students.
This summer, she worked with Mohamed Azize (PI), Hari Chauhan (mentor), and Sophia Millan (REU) at Analog Devices Inc. Elizabeth participated in the Reduced Graphene Oxide Flakes for Coronavirus Biosensing project. This project involved figuring out the additive manufacturing for the biosensors and reducing antibodies by running different reactions and testing their functionality.
